Alexander Wang: Body Conscious Clothes

New York – The hippest new young designer in Manhattan fashion is Alexander Wang. His latest collection staged Saturday, Feb. 14, was an ode to body conscious clothes. Though he has probably created the most buzz from his ironically loose fit T-shirts and T-shirt mini-dresses, Wang's collection for fall 2009 was all about streamlined party rocker wear for self-confident women who want edge and chic in equal measures. Judging from this outing, Wang, 25, is clearly a very talented designer. While as a tailor and draper he is still on something of a learning curve, one could enjoy these takes on night-prowling fashion, whether excellent matador pants with studded trim, hip curving off-the-shoulder jackets or the elongated ski pants that made up most of his trousers. "I liked it a lot, particularly those dresses at the end, especially the purple bandage number," said singer Roisin Murphy, as she dashed out of the show. Perhaps his best ideas were the savvy way he combined fabrics, finishes and surfaces - geometric jacquard with kidskin, or ribbed leather with metallic croc. His trims had far too many shaggy edges and the show might have benefitted from fewer Peruvian hats and biker shorts. Source: Yahoo News

Women’s Apparel – The Perfect Fit

Fashion is one thing that some love and others hate, yet we cannot live without it. And for women it’s a very important topic. That’s why when it comes to women’s apparel, the key is being able to find affordable and mixable items that will work for everyday and seasons without making you sick of them. Nobody wants to look in their closet and think, “I have nothing to wear yet again” even when our closets are full. That really brings us down, and we don’t want that. So I will list some key and important items to make every woman’s closet is a place where she won’t think that exact silly thought anymore about her clothing. Black Pants/Work Pants/Skirts-They can be dressed up and dressed down. They may be one of the only few items that can be taken straight from work to a party with the right accessories and top. They flatter every shape and size, so make sure you have more than one pair. Little Black Dress-This is one item that will never go out of season. Again like the black pants, it can be dressed down and up. Just make sure its not too short or low cut. Pair with a blazer, it would be a pretty work dress. For night you can remove the blazer and pair it with a wrap and you have a great dress for that perfect date or night out. And I am pretty sure you have heard that the LBD is huge part of a woman’s clothing. Jeans-They’re perfect for everyday wear and they are so comfy. They look great for most all types of events. Having more than one pair is key and you should make sure they’re not the same wash. Darker for wild nights out and lighter for your day in. Colorful Tops/Blouses-They can make or break your outfit. Bright colors can cheer you up and look great for again almost all types of events. You should have more tops than bottoms, so you can keep your outfits looking fresh and fabulous. As you can tell by the list above that it doesn’t take a whole lot to have a wonderful closet that will always have something fabulous to wear. Women’s clothing can be a whole lot of fun to buy and work with. to make yourself look great. All it takes is a few items and a vivid imagination to come up with a new outfit. You don’t have to be rich in order to have endless possibilities of ways to dress. You can get all of these aforementioned items and not get into debt for buying. So don’t fret about not having 1000s items of womens apparel, just focus on what you have and imagine just how great you look.

Cheap Blue Cult Jeans for Women

Comfort is key, and so is looking good. So what can bring all that? Jeans, of course!
There are so many different styles, and they can be worn with almost anything and not clash with it. They are the perfect staple for anyone’s closet and a must have for everybody. And no two pairs of jeans ever look the same. You can have tight fit jeans, low jeans, high waist jeans, baggy jeans, boot cut, flare and so many more types- it’s really endless.
You can buy cheap jeans or you can buy designer jeans. You can have amazing body modifying jeans, like Blue Cult Jeans offers a pair that does that, or you can have regular great looking jeans that are just the right price. It doesn’t really matter, just as long as they make you feel and look great. And you need to remember the different types of cuts and washes that are out there, so you can make a informed decision about which looks best.
Cuts-
Boot cut: Slightly flared, slim fit through hip and knee. They usually sit low on your hip
Flared-They’re a lot like boot cut, but they are much more flared like bell bottoms than the boot cut.
Slim/Skinny-The are tapered and fit snug on the whole leg.
Straight Leg-Unlike skinny, they are a bit looser fitted in the leg. Not baggy nor skinny.
Cuffed/Cropped-More summer, again like straight leg they are not too lose or too skinny on the leg. A summery look and feel.
Sand Blasted-Faded in color slightly and the fabric is bit worn looking
Whisker Wash-Bleached on the upper thigh below the pockets. Normally only seen on darker washes.
Tinted-Sand blasted, then added yellow or beige for a more vintage look and feel.
Dark-Very deep blues. Almost black looking. Great for fancy events that feel more comfortable type of jeans.
